The Agentic Compass
An AI service for organizations of any size who want to build, over time, a personal agentic environment of their own. Instead of asking "which AI tools do you know?", the Compass measures what users can actually get an agentic system under their control to do, through hands-on missions that separate verified, partial and not-yet-acquired capabilities. It starts by mapping the existing ecosystem (hardware, software, services, practical skills) alongside the real activities that make up the user's work. From there it suggests, step by step, the "next rung": a concrete problem to solve, a compatible tool, estimated time and cost, and a guided experiment. Four agentic functions (Navigator, Scout, Experimenter, Archivist) steer decisions, track the technology landscape, turn new releases into controlled trials and keep the system's memory up to date. Everything flows into an evolving logbook that records results, time saved and skills gained, and also remembers why a technology was dropped. Like a plant growing along distinct branches (models, agents, data, automation), the Compass makes its owner's progress visible through reports, ecosystem maps and an Agentic Passport of verified capabilities. The goal is not to teach AI, but to grow capacity for action: recognizing when a problem can be solved by an agent, knowing how to build it, and judging when it's worth doing.
